Single seal JCS1
Robust single seal integrated into the pump. It has an advanced design and good technical solutions. The JCS1 seal is specially designed
for the Sulzer AHLSTARUP pump series. The JCS1 seal is easy to install on the impeller side. JCS1 has very advanced technical
capabilities including a patented sealing surface drive mechanism and self-aligning resiliently mounted thrust ring.
Designed for clean and lubricating liquids such as water, oils, solvents and thin paper.
Main advantages:
1. Balanced design ensures uninterrupted operation even with sudden pressure surges;
2. Single spring on the atmospheric side, located in the stationary part of the seal. The material is resistant to corrosion. Shaft misalignment
leads to spring pulsation and wear of the sealing ring;
3. Sealing surfaces made of SiC/Carbon or SiC/SiC as standard materials;
4. No measurements are required for installation. Ease of installation reduces the risk of human error;
5. Installing the seal does not require removing the back plate, and the seal is secured with one bolt, ensuring quick and trouble-free installation;
6. Torque transmission using super-elastic devices in combination with non-drive pins on the seal ends. Surfaces seals do not crack during startup;
7. The seal has a built-in splash guard.
Single seal JCS1F
Reliable seal for difficult conditions with API plan 11 product recirculation or external water flushing. Double balance design, maximum reliability.
Typical low solids applications include hot water or pulp pumps in washdown and sorting plants of pulp mills.
Main advantages:
1. JCS1F single seal operates according to API 11 plan for hot water systems or continuous external water flushing principle,when it is necessary;
2. Uses the same design features and principles as the JCS 1 seal described above;
3. Continuous pressurized water flushing through the limited throttle valve design into the process ensures clean lubrication seal surfaces. This setting also eliminates possible dry running during pump startup.
Single seal JCS2
The Safeseal JCS2 dual-balance design ensures reliable, long-lasting performance in the most demanding conditions. The JCS2 seal is specifically designed for the Sulzer AHLSTARUP series pumps.
Applications : in pumps for abrasive and environmentally hazardous fluids in pulp and paper mills, complex services in
food, metal and fertilizer production.
Main advantages:
1. Seal uses integrated and advanced water control technology SmartFlow seal - an environmentally efficient solution for water control in seals to improve reliability;
2. Compacting water saving is more than 90% compared to conventional flow control system;
3. Single spring located in the stationary part of the seal. The material is corrosion resistant and can be washed with seal water;
4. Shaft misalignment does not lead to spring pulsation and wear of the O-ring;
5. Heat shrinkable seal surfaces SiC/SiC, SiC/Carbon as standard materials;
6. The piston seal design ensures large axial movement, which does not affect the spring load;
7. No measurements are required for installation. Ease of installation reduces the risk of human error;
