Radial shaft seal according to DIN 3760, with elastomer outer jacket and protective lip

The Simmerring seals a rotating shaft against the housing of a unit. On the one hand, it ensures the static seal between the outer jacket of the seal and the housing bore. On the other hand, it ensures both a dynamic and - when the shaft is at a standstill - a static seal between the sealing lip and the shaft. This often creates a conflict of objectives between low friction, low losses and low wear - as well as high radial force for an adequate sealing effect at all times. Other core requirements for a Simmerring are a tight fit in the bore, the easiest possible installation and the highest possible robustness.

Standard designs according to DIN 3760, with elastomer outer jacket. With additional dust lip (SL) to protect against moderate to medium external attacks.
